By accessing and using Budget Buckets, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Important: Budget Buckets is a budgeting tool only and does not provide financial advice. The app:

  • Does not connect to your actual bank accounts
  • Does not automatically track real transactions
  • Requires manual input of all financial data
  • Should not be used as your sole financial planning resource

Data and Privacy

Your use of Budget Buckets is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your financial data, and we do not claim any rights to your budget information beyond what's necessary to provide the service.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability, but Budget Buckets is provided "as is" without guarantees of:

  • Uninterrupted service availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Data backup or recovery (though we implement reasonable safeguards)

We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup.

Limitation of Liability

Budget Buckets and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on the app's calculations or data.

Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for other reasons at our discretion, with reasonable notice when possible.

Plus Plan ($3.99/month)

  • Unlimited budget buckets
  • Advanced analytics and insights
  • Export capabilities
  • Priority support

Payment and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscription automatically renews unless canceled
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
  • We may change pricing with 30 days advance notice

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation

You may cancel your Plus subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings in the app
  • The billing management portal
  • Contacting customer support

Upon cancellation:

  • You retain Plus features until your current billing period ends
  • Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan
  • All data remains accessible, but bucket limits apply
  • No automatic refund is provided for unused time

Refund Policy

We offer refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Technical Issues: If our service fails to work as described and we cannot resolve the issue within 7 days
  • Accidental Charges: If you were charged due to a billing error on our part
  • Good Faith Requests: First-time subscribers may request a refund within 7 days for any reason

To request a refund, contact our support team at support@budgetbucket.app with your account details and reason for the request.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a billing dispute:

  1. Contact our support team first - we're committed to resolving issues quickly
  2. If unresolved, you may file a dispute with your payment provider
  3. For credit card chargebacks, we'll work with you and your card issuer to resolve the matter

Service Restrictions

Budget Buckets is available worldwide, but some restrictions may apply:

  • Age Requirements: Users must be 13+ (or legal age in their jurisdiction)
  • Payment Processing: Available in countries where Stripe processes payments
  • Legal Compliance: Service may be restricted in jurisdictions where prohibited by law
  • Export Controls: Software and services are subject to applicable export/import laws
